Wayne Wilson-Wong is an emerging Auckland artist exhibiting on a regular basis in the photographic Fine Arts both in private and public gallery spaces throughout New Zealand. He is currently working on his doctorate at Elam School of Fine Arts, University of Auckland.

"I have always had a drive to photograph the present for future generations to consider in retrospect. My practice operates within the genre of Social Documentary with subject matter mainly focusing on people and environments. My photographs strive to represent a certain subjective and interpretive quality of authenticity felt as we experience the world in which we find ourselves.

The digital photography process excites me greatly and is an area of production in which my work has been firmly situated for a number of years. Recently my practice has involved in experimenting with ideas of digital low light exposures that go beyond the possibilities of conventional film promoting new ways of seeing under nocturnal conditions."
